A busted driver's side door is repaired with a new replacement door skin.  The old skin is cut off my grinding down the edges.  Internal brackets are checked and replaced where necessary.  The new skin is fitted over the door frame and the edges are hammered down.  Once the door is primed for paint a guide coat is applied.
