1. We took Saturday off to attend DAPA's Pontiac Southern Nationals. We
saw some of our parts and service customers, made new "restification"
friends and met some Pontiac legends including Jim Butler, Pete McCarthy
and Jim Wangers. We have pictures of cars in the show in Richardson and
video of races in Caddo Mills. Pictures include a 1971 White 455-HO
Trans
Am, 1973 Buccaneer Red Trans Am SD-455, 1974 White Trans Am SD-455, and
the New GeeTO Tiger. If you missed the drag racing, check out the MPEG
movies including Street and Pro Trans Ams and the GeetTO tiger. Be sure
to turn up the sound real loud. Almost like being there, except for the
smell and the sunburn.

3. We are now offering Auto Custom
Carpet for your Second Generation
Firebird. Our June promotional price: $125.00 plus shipping. David
considers this the best fitting, most accurate replacement carpet
available. We just installed new black ACC carpet in Jerry's car and
have found that it's a lot more fun to vacuum.

4. Texas Trans Am Mufflers are in
stock. $120.00 for the pair plus
shipping. If you need the cross-mount muffler for behind the axle, we
can have that fabricated also. Our mufflers are made of heavier gauge
steel than other mufflers. This reduces the high-pitched ringing sound
found in some dual chamber mufflers. If you can get your car to our shop
just south of Fort Worth we can have them installed for you with full
dual exhaust and an "H" equalizer pipe.

7. Girlfriends and daughters have
been stealing our TexasTransAm Tee-
Shirts, so a new design is in the works. Newsletter subscribers will be
the first to know when they become available.
8. At the shop recently we did a tune-up on Pam's Yellow '78 Trans Am,
treated the repaired floor pans with Por15 and cut the Cars-n-Concepts
T-Top roof off Chris's '78 T/A (soon to be replaced with a Fisher T-Top
roof), welded new rear and trunk panels on the back and cut the door
skin off the '65 Mustang, re-sealed the rear window, repaired the
dashboard wiring, electric lock wiring, installed a new stereo, rear
package tray, carpet, rear and door speakers (yes, door speakers -
article coming later), T-Top and door weather-stripping, and Texas
Trans Am Mufflers on Jerry's '79 T/A, started body work on a '71 T/A,
sandblasted and painted suspension and sub-frame for Dan's '79 T/A with
Por15, cut the light panel out of the back of a '79 firebird, had phone
lines installed, picked up a nice set of honey comb wheels and 8"
snowflakes, sold some Pontiac engines, bought some more, already sold
a pair of 6X 4 heads off one (used some regrettable language
getting them loose), shipped several fiberglass hoods and a fiberglass
front clip, a Kildee laid eggs in the parking lot next to the blue T/A
(watch your step), mowed the back lot and found a few project cars we
forgot about, and cooked lunch on the grill.
Oh yeah, we're running low on Dr Pepper, so if you are coming out to the
shop bring a 6 pack, and if you're coming out on Saturday bring
something
to throw on the grill.
